Review: The worst nails I’ve ever had. I asked for something simple and they could not deliver because they didn’t have the correct nail colours and they just would not do what I asked for, simple instructions were not listened to. It was the most stressful appointment I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are wanting a French manicure or anything more than a basic colour , you get the extra pleasure of being spoken about badly behind your back. I have never been to a nail appointment where I have actually argued with the staff member as she was so rude to me

Review: I walked in there today to repair one of my broken nails (acrylic powder with shellac) which I did in somewhere else. I was totally happy with my repair. There was a gentleman who did my nail. The shape of my nail is nice and natural.I don’t know why this salon has many negative reviews from the past. But I had a really good experience although it was short but I am totally satisfied 😊

Review: I had the absolute misfortune of visiting Eighty 8 salon recently, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. If I could give zero stars, I would.Let’s start with the pricing. The services at this place are outrageously overpriced for the subpar work they deliver. I was quoted one price over the phone, only to be charged nearly double when it came time to pay. They tacked on hidden fees for basic services that any reputable salon would include in the initial quote. I felt completely blindsided and deceived by their lack of transparency and honesty. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rude and dismissive behavior from the staff. The receptionist barely acknowledged my presence. The nail technician assigned to me was visibly irritated and acted as if my appointment was a burden. When I tried to explain what I wanted, he cut me off and insisted he knew better. Throughout the session, he was rough and careless, yanking my hands and sighing loudly when I asked for adjustments. The quality of work was abysmal. I went in for a simple manicure, expecting a professional finish. Instead, I walked out with uneven nails, sloppy polish application, and even a couple of cuts from the technician’s rough handling. The tools used didn’t appear to be properly sanitized, which is a major red flag for hygiene standards. Within two days, the polish started chipping, and the nails were already peeling off. It was clear that they used low-quality products and rushed through the job without any attention to detail.

Review: I feel bad writing a bad review, but just wasn’t a good experience. The waxing lady doesn’t know what she’s doing. I’ve had 100’s of waxes. Just moved in to the neighbourhood trying to find my new regular place to come for bikini waxing. She’s terrible. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. She not only burned me several times- hard hot wax should never be that hot. You should lay waxwith the grain and wax away from the grain if the hair doesn’t come out your reapply in the opposite direction as hair naturally grows in different directions so it’s normal go in a few different direction. She waxed with the grain majority of places. The hair broke off so I was left with loads of stubble. I spent £42 on most definitely having to go get and pay for another wax. Loads of long hair still left over and I had to point it out as she was just gonna leave it, my skin was bleeding, horrible break out immediately. When I politely asked if in a couple days when the area is less red could I have the the rest removed as even though she continuously tried over and over again to get the hair out in the same areas she just couldn’t do it- mainly down to the fact she doesn’t know how to wax. I’m sure she’s a lovely lady -she wasn’t rude or anything but she just doesn’t know how to properly do a bikini wax. They seemed more interested in arguing and defending themselves then actually wanting to rectify the situation. As I was willing to come back for a touch up once the skin had calmed down. So lesson learned I just won’t come back. Cherry on top they asked if I wanted a loyalty card. I didn’t get anything else done so I can’t comment on the rest of the services just a terrible wax.
